Standing in front of the Sharks was the culmination of over a decade of grit—starting from kitchen-table sewing machines in 2014 after Barbara Kent retired as a service-disabled US Army Military Police Captain (West Point Class of 1999) and Joanna Serra spent over 10 years teaching in Michigan elementary classrooms.

We demonstrated how every Birdy Boutique textile solves a real problem for parents and educators: keeping babies and toddlers warm and safe in winter car seats without bulky coat slack, and turning everyday screen time into cozy tactile discovery.
